Many times, healthy eating is associated with lowering portion sizes and restricting food intake. While we want to make sure that we are in a calorie deficit for weight loss, we also want to make sure that we are enjoying our meals and that they are ones of abundance VS restriction. Enjoying our favorite foods in moderation is key, but what can be beneficial for those in the long term is finding a substitution for that food that is just as enjoyable.
The picture below shows that perfectly!
To find something sustainable, it should be something that you enjoy, but the cravings that we experience are normally the indication of something missing in our nutrition. When we are eating in abundance foods that are high in micronutrients and healthy fats, we experience different neurotransmitter shifts from a healthy microbiome and it’s much easier to stay on track. Adding diversity and colors in our meals is helpful as well to obtain all of the vital nutrients to keep us healthy for the long term.
We have been talking the last few weeks about a trial that we are recruiting for at this time utilizing Ozempic in the management of obesity and weight loss. This medication was indicated originally for diabetes but has shown excellent utility in weight loss. If you are someone that thinks that you might be interested in this trial or someone you know, please refer to THIS LINK. Get in touch with us and we would be happy to talk with you!
